Deskely Extract turns P&IDs and isometrics into a checked tag register

Deskely Newsroom Singapore

Deskely Extract reads P&IDs and isometrics and turns them into a checked tag register. Tags, systems and disciplines are taken off every sheet and checked before they reach the project record.

On a test set of five P&ID sheets, the work Extract takes over amounts to about 120 hours of manual typing and checking.

What Extract reads.

Extract reads every P&ID, isometric and boundary drawing in a package, finds each tag with its type, system, subsystem and discipline, and hands the engineer a register to check instead of a spreadsheet to type.

It reads:

  • P&IDs, as native or scanned PDF
  • Isometrics
  • System and subsystem boundary drawings
  • Your existing register, when there is one

How it works.

Upload the package.

Drop in a whole drawing set at once. Extract queues the files and reads them sheet by sheet, so a package that takes weeks by hand is read in a single run.

Review what it found.

Tags, systems, subsystems and disciplines each get their own review step. Where two documents disagree, Extract lists the possibilities and the engineer picks the right one.

Add it to the register.

Approved tags go straight into Deskely Core with their full source trail, ready for ITRs, punch and certificates.

What it hands over.

  • Tag register rows with type and discipline
  • Systems and subsystems, ready for master data
  • Cross-document conflicts with a proposed fix
  • A source trail for every tag: drawing, sheet and page

The engineer stays in charge.

Extract takes over the typing and cross-checking. The engineer still decides what goes into the register, with every source one click away.

When a new revision arrives, Extract compares it with the last one. Changes reach the register only when an engineer approves them, and ITRs already signed stay untouched.
