Overview

Redline reads the red-line markups that come back from site, works out what each mark means, and reconciles it against the register and the latest issued drawings, so the as-built record matches the plant before it is handed over.

Redline is part of Deskely Operate, one of four suites across the life of a project. Every product reads from and writes to the same tag register, so each stage starts with clean data from the last.

Used by document control, discipline and drafting leads, completions engineers and operator handover teams.

What Redline replaces.

Matching red-lines to drawings by hand.

TodayMarked-up prints from site, matched to the issued sheet and the register one mark at a time.
With RedlineEvery mark read and reconciled against the register and the latest revision, with a change list per sheet.
How Redline works

From marked-up print to as-built record.

What happens to a red-line when it comes back from site.

  1. 01Collect the red-lines

Markups come back from site, scanned or photographed, and each is matched to its sheet.

  2. 02Read every mark

Marks, notes and dimensions are read, each with a confidence score. Doubtful readings go to an engineer.

  3. 03Reconcile

Each change is checked against the register and the latest issued drawings. A change already in a later revision is closed.

  4. 04Approve and issue

Drafters get a change list per sheet, and the register is updated only when an engineer approves each change.

Redline does the reading. Engineers make the calls.

Nothing in the register changes until an engineer approves it.

  1. 1Read by Redline

Every mark, note and dimension, with a confidence score.

  2. 2Flagged for review

Doubtful readings, and changes made on site without approval.

  3. 3Your call

An engineer approves each change before the register is updated.
