The problem
A missing record does not cost an hour — it costs another transfer.
Crews install, torque and check in a compressed window, then move on. Anything not captured at the asset has to be recovered later by putting people back on it.
Component traceability is the other half: which blade set, which nacelle serial, which bolt batch went on which position. Recorded on paper, that link is broken as soon as the pack is scanned.

Marshalling port
Evidence starts at the quay, not at the first lift.
Pre-assembly, receipt inspection, damage checks and preservation all happen at the port, weeks before the component goes offshore.
Recording them against the component means the asset arrives at the field with a history, and any transport damage argument is settled with dated photos rather than recollection.
Preservation routines keep running while components wait for the weather, and overdue cycles surface immediately.
Running the campaign
One template per turbine type, executed the same way every time.
The installation record set is defined once and instantiated per asset, so crew changes and vessel changes do not change what gets captured.
Mandatory fields, photo requirements and torque value ranges are enforced on the tablet, which is what prevents the return trip.
Progress rolls up per asset and per campaign in real time, so the vessel plan is made against evidence rather than optimism.
Mechanical completion
The campaign hands over to commissioning asset by asset, with a clean list.
Mechanical completion per turbine is issued when its installation records are signed and Category A punch is closed, which is what lets the commissioning team mobilise to the right assets.
Carried items are visible and owned rather than informally agreed between two superintendents.
The handover between installation and commissioning stops being a meeting and becomes a state in the register.
Lifting and marine assurance
Every lift offshore is a certificated event, and the paperwork travels with the spread, not with the project office.
Installation runs on assurance documents: rigging and shackle certificates in date, crane load test and annual thorough examination records, sea fastening design approval and release, lift plans approved for the specific weight and sea state, and the marine warranty surveyor's certificate of approval for each operation.
These live on the vessel, are checked at the toolbox talk, and are exactly the documents an incident investigation or an insurer will ask for two years later.
Deskely holds the certificate set against the equipment and the operation it authorises, with expiry visible before mobilisation, so a lift is not held on the deck because a shackle certificate expired in transit and nobody was watching the date.
The installation dossier
A lift is a moment, and the record proving it went to plan has to exist before the vessel moves off.
Installation campaigns run against weather windows, not office hours, and a record missed at the crane is a record missed for good. Deskely captures each lift and connection record against the turbine position as it happens, so the campaign's evidence base is complete before demobilisation.
Foundation bolt tensioning record
Tower-to-foundation connection bolts were tensioned to the specified sequence and value ahead of the first tower section.
