    The problem

    A treatment train is a dozen process stages, and a spreadsheet cannot show which one is actually producing wholesome water today.

    Execution

    Dry commissioning, wet testing and process proving are gated stage by stage, not plant-wide.

    Dry commissioning proves motor rotation, valve stroking and instrument loop checks before a stage is filled with water, and wet commissioning then proves flow, level control and chemical dosing under real hydraulic conditions.

    Process proving runs each stage through its design duty — coagulant dose response, filter run-to-waste, backwash sequencing and disinfection CT — with results captured against the specific cell or skid before the stage is released to continuous operation.

    Vendor punch from the filter media supplier, the dosing skid OEM and the instrumentation contractor is logged at the specific asset, so ramp-up is not blocked by an unrelated open item in a different process stream.

    Wholesome water is declared from signed evidence and sampling results, not from a description of what the plant did during a trial run.

    Regulatory sampling, CT compliance and turbidity performance are captured against the same register used for dry and wet commissioning, so the evidence a drinking water regulator asks for is an export rather than a scramble before go-live.

    The handover pack for the water company's operations team includes as-built P&IDs, dosing calibration records and filter media specifications exported per stage, ready for the operations team from day one of supply.
